Drew the line over the photo, and coloured this with the photo beside the drawing. Working on faces and lighting at the same time. No talent with this one - but productive at least! I have some more life drawing to share, maybe I'll get around to scanning it tomorrow... Or the day after.

Oh, and I did this too, self portrait-ish. Some sort of super-hero me I guess?

HOKAY! So here I am, a damn long time after posting about 'resurrecting' my blog, posting my first post since. Awesome!

Though I am going to start being more pro-active in posting here, for on Wed nights I am taking the $4 life drawing sessions at Sandy Hill. Finally! I've been wanting to get back into doing life drawing again for a while, and now thanks to my lovely friends I am actually doing it. And posting it here.

learning to draw - part 1: human women

My first quest to learn to draw things I'm weak at: human women. Here we go!

So that aside, I borrowed Mark's 'J. Scott Campbell's Danger Girl Sketchbook' book and I've been pouring over that all weekend. I guess now that I feel I've got the comic book anatomy, I'll go backwards and get into some life drawing!

So Kyle at work got me into this, and I'm still sorting out how to set this up! Hopefully I'm writing this in the right area... guess we'll find out!
